Work as an interviewer

What does the job involve?

As an interviewer, you go up and talk to people in a shopping centre. You ask them whether you can ask them a few questions. These questions are almost always about (using) certain products. It may be that the respondent receives something home to try out at home, but it could also be that he or she participates in a survey on the spot. In all cases, the aim is to involve as many people as possible in the survey. The amount of work (hours) that we can offer is variable: one week there may be a lot, and another week slightly less. We cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours' work.

In-home survey

An interviewer talks to passers-by in a shopping centre, and asks if they are willing to answer a few questions. After asking a limited number of questions, the respondent will receive a free product (if the person is in the right target group) to take home and try. Then the respondent will complete a questionnaire and send it back to us in the reply envelope that we provide. We call this an in-home test. It can also happen that you have to collect this form from the respondent's home. In-home surveys involve an average of four hours' working time. This may be spread over the day.

Location research

In addition to these in-home surveys IvoMar Marktonderzoek B.V. also carries out location surveys. This means that the respondent is approached and asked if he / she wants to participate in the survey, and will then be asked on the spot to express an opinion about a particular product. This kind of survey is always carried out by two interviewers. For this type of survey, you need to be available for a whole day.

In which areas are we looking for more interviewers?

We are looking for interviewers for all regions in the Netherlands. For all towns or areas, we are look for people who can work one or preferably more days per week on location, for a prolonged period. The fieldwork days are Tuesday through Saturday. These are complete working days, from approximately 10.00 to approximately 18.00.

Short notice

Because our clients appreciate prompt reporting, it is important to us that you can be available at short notice. Usually we will call you one week before the release of a particular survey to ask whether you are able/willing to work. You will receive the products with instructions, territory form and accompanying letter on the day when the survey starts. For our work at our permanent locations, you often find out further in advance when you can work.

What requirements must I meet?

We are looking for adults who are interested in a good job, but we are not looking for students. You need to have perseverance and an excellent command of the Dutch language. You can either work independently or as part of a team. You are available to work at least ten hours a week. You like to approach people and regard it as a challenge to involve as many people as possible in the survey. You are able to motivate the people that you talk to sufficiently to send back the completed questionnaire. You have a presentable appearance.

How will I be in contact with the office?

If we have a new survey, we will phone you to ask if you want to do (part of) that survey. You are always completely free to say yes or no. In conversations with the office, you will also find out how high the response rate was to your previous survey(s) and what the results of the control were. If you want to carry out a survey, we will send you the material for that survey. It always comes with comprehensive instructions, explaining the work involved.

Do I have to sell something to people?

No, never.

Do I need travel all over the country to do this work?

No, in 99% of all cases you will work in the town where you live.
