Location research

What is location research?

In location research, respondents are approached in various shopping centres, after which they are interviewed on the spot. Location research is an affordable and fast form of research, for example to compare products, packaging and do a price measurement survey.

 

How does location research work?

We select our respondents in a large number of shopping centres in the Netherlands. If they meet the selection criteria, they participate in the survey on the spot. For example, this can be a product tasting, or the evaluation of packaging, logos or magazine covers. Respondents complete their own questionnaire. Eight days after delivery of the products or material to be shown to the consumer, you will receive our report. The results of location surveys are always incorporated into the IvoMar NormBase ®.

 

What are the main advantages of location research?

1. It offers excellent opportunities to compare products in a tightly-controlled manner.

2. Short lead-time (eight working days).

3. The written approach avoids ill-considered and 'politically correct' answers.

4. Location research has a very low 'non-response' rate.

5. Relatively few test products are needed.
